Removal of skin lesions, moles, seborrhoeic warts and lumps and bumps’ of the skin
Dr Jacobus A. Vlok at Liposuction International uses radio surgery technology to remove skin lesions. This is the same equipment that is used during super delicate neurosurgery .
What to expect
Recovery is quick and the results are amazing. Scarring is almost non-existent.
A drop of local anaesthetic is inserted underneath the lesion. It is then taken off in layers until it is completely removed. The site is covered with a plaster which is removed after two days.
Healing is completed after 1- 2 weeks depending on the body area. The scalp and face heal rapidly, within a few days. The rest of the body takes a little longer.
Removal of aesthetically unacceptable benign skin lesions are often not covered by the Health Service and Liposuction International are there to fill the gap.
Warts (verrucae) can also be treated by freezing (cryotherapy). The optimal method of treatment of your skin lesion will be decided at your initial consultation. Occasionally we would excise a skin lesion for complete histological assessment and diagnosis.
